What fashionistas are ready for the weekend?

All I can say is...thank god this week is over & tomorrow is OFFICIALLY the weekend. What are my fashionistas looking forward to doing?

  (besides Christmas shopping of course!)

Even though it was below 30 degrees today, i decided to dress up a little for my two group presentations

What am I wearing? 

American Eagle brown cardigan, Brandy Melville tube top, Forever21 maroon cotton shorts, Target tights, Urban Outfitter leg warmers (not seen), and best of all..the handcrafted earrings my aunt got my for my birthday from Haiti :)

For my one group presentation today, we had to design fifteen products in sponsor of Chemoclothes for cancer.  We knit fifteen scarves with our team name "Falling for Scarves", and our awesome production team member, Kelly Neyers, made infinity scarves for all of us in our team personally!  I was ecstatic because not only did they keep me warm all day but were so pretty and colorful, i got numerous complements.  Take a look!

For the second part of this crazy day...

Watching the amazing and inspiring documentary, "THE TENTS" by James Belzer who came to the University to answer questions we had after.  Not being the biggest fan of documentaries, I couldn't keep my eyes off of the screen.  Interviews with Betsey Johnson, Donna Karen, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.  were featured and the whole documentary showed what it was really like through the mayhem of Mercedes- Benz NYFW.  Any of you fashionistas out there wanting to make it to the Big City, I totally recommend watching this any chance you get! I was in complete disbelief of what it took to produce these shows and all the effort and creation it took for everyone involved.  Ugh, please let me be a part of this insanity one day hehe :)

Belated Birthday & What Not

Cannot believe I am 20 years old now...no longer a teenager yet not 21 yet...whats the point in that?

Anyway, i apologize my fashionistas, this past week I was home for Turkey day and forgot my laptop here at school so I could not follow up on my latest blog!  It wouldnt have mattered much since I was very busy celebrating, interviewing, dealing with the sudden family death of my uncle, and working like a bee in Colette!  YES THEY ARE BACK UP AND RUNNING!!!  I simply LOVED being back and I got a free pair of Ya pants for my birthday present (ps I will be wearing them tomorrow and will be posting them!) I love Colette, I wish I could just work there forever...

Happy almost Thanksgiving fashionistas!  And with only two more days of classes, three days until my 20th birthday, and four days till Thanksgiving..I can say I am really looking forward to this week.  

Last Thursday I had my first official internship with Commonwealth Proper, a men's clothing boutique in center city :)

Just Another Amazing Day in NYC *

The beautiful thing about going to fashion school...

...is you get invited to Designer Show Rooms

^what an amazing opportunity I had today in New York City^

I got to meet the PR of Buffalo Jeans NYC and she talked to us about her profession about styling and dressing celebrities and models as her job.  To put it shortly, she was awesome! She really described the field well, gave us some juicy stories about the rude celebrities she has had to deal with in the past, and gave us a typical day in the life of PR! The best part was definitely the free bag she gave along with the little notebook with the gorgeous blonde model, and the Topshop preview book featuring Buffalo Jeans!

Meeting/Interviewing with Miss J Alexander on America's Next Top Model!

Shopping around in SoHo really paid off today!  We met Miss J and her camera crew on the streets of NYC and it was such an amazing experience being able to talk and get advice from her even! (she said my handbag was too big for my 4'11" frame ;) ) and we even got some pics with her!  Ill update them when they get published by my friends

~NYC is so amazing, i just wish i could stay here forever~

Cheers, its Friday!

What am I wearing today? Keeping it casual with an H&M cardigan, scarf I got from my boutique, and some comfy Victoria Secret leggings.

Here is a picture of the upscale boutique of where I work currently, Colette, in Ocean City, Nj pre-hurricane Sandy.  It truly is a dream job, I have never had such an amazing experience.  The people here make my world :)  I honestly cannot wait to come back, and help remodel it!
